Through its mission, the PTA supports Short Pump Elementary School with both volunteer and financial assistance. Last year, the SPES PTA spent approximately $45 per child. This number does not include general expenses – it is the real dollar amount that directly benefits each student, and we couldn’t do it without the help of our generous school community by way of our Stinger Fund, SPES’s single largest fundraiser. The Stinger Fund allows parents to make an upfront donation to the PTA in support of our annual operating budget, thereby eliminating smaller additional fundraisers, like merchandise sales, during the year.

This year, we’re focusing not only on funding PTA programs, but on enhancing safety and security measures at the school, and we hope that you will support this initiative with a donation to the Stinger Fund.
