Short Pump Elementary School PTA is a non-profit, volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers and community members.  Our PTA’s focus is to enhance the social, cultural, artistic and educational experience for all children at Short Pump Elementary school.

The purposes of the Virginia PTA, the National PTA and the Short Pump Elementary School PTA are promoted through an educational program directed toward parents, teachers, and the general public and are developed through conferences, committees, projects and programs.

We hope that each and every parent with children at Short Pump Elementary School with join the PTA.  Each child benefits from the programs and services of the PTA.  It is through your memberships, volunteer hours, and overall participation in your student’s education that we achieve success together.

MISSION

As stated in our bylaws, the purposes of the Short Pump Elementary School PTA, in common with those of the Virginia PTA and the National PTA, are: 

• To promote the welfare of children and youth in home, school, community and place of worship;
• To raise the standards of home life;
• To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth;
• To bring into closer relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth; and,
• To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts as will secure all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social and spiritual education.
